Dylan Throop, a freshman at Pennsylvania, placed second in 14:09.22 in the men's 5,000-meter final at the USATF U20 Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Throop edged Jacob Bourget of Wisconsin, who took third in 14:09.74, to qualify to compete at the World Under-20 Championships, scheduled for Aug. 1-6 in Cali, Colombia.
