In the season-opening meet at Lehigh on Friday, the Quakers posted six victories, highlighted by the fourth-best shot put in school history from Theresa Picciallo in her collegiate debut.

Four Quakers posted wins in the season-opening Lehigh Invitational. Jake Brenza won the shot put with the fourth-best toss in program history. Maalik Reynolds, Tom Timmins and Drew Magaha also won.

Penn's underclassmen again make a huge impact as three freshmen, led by Hannah Grossman, score for the Quakers on Friday at Penn State in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals.

A mixture of young and old was key for the Quakers in Friday's NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional. Three freshmen and two seniors scored for Penn, who moved up three spots overall from its finish in 2011.
